  • Kelly Keegan Clears Criminal Charges from Client’s Record

Nearly ten years prior, Kelly’s client was charged by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office with multiple counts of Felony Terroristic Threats. Having represented himself at trial, the client was acquitted of all counts by the jury. Years later, the client was arrested in Ramsey County for Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. That charge was later dismissed. Even though neither of these cases resulted in convictions for the client, they both continued to create issues for him. Kelly petitioned for expungements of records relating to both cases, including their arrests. Both expungements were granted. Her client was thus able to finally put these two incidents behind him.

  • Charges Avoided for Son Managing Mother’s Accounts

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into Kelly’s client for Felony Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult, accusing him of misappropriating his mother’s money. Kelly worked with the detective on the case to demonstrate that her client was the executor of his mother’s estate, and that the funds had not been spent, but moved into a different account. This information was then passed along to the Wright County Attorney’s Office, who declined to press charges against Kelly’s client.

  • Kelly Keegan’s Client Receives Pardons for Three Convictions

Kelly Keegan’s client had three convictions for Fifth Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, all stemming from a period in his life where he was an addict. Over fifteen years later, he was rehabilitated, working in drug and alcohol treatment centers to help others make the same transformations. His convictions, however, prevented him from progressing in his career. Kelly offered a pardon as a possible solution. She initiated a thorough investigation of his background, drafted his application, and prepared him for his Pardon Board hearing. The efforts were successful: the client received his pardons, and all three convictions were vacated.
